As a direct result of Hurricane Sandy sweeping through New York City, on Thursday Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg has said he will endorse President Obama for re-election.

Bloomberg, an independent, has been critical of both Obama and Mitt Romney, saying that both candidates have failed to candidly confront the problems affecting the nation.
