While American's finances have been a growing concern in these economic times the main cause of concern may not be the lack of jobs but the lack of pay. Median income for families have declined by around 6% since 2000, low wages makes it difficult to pay back debt and save money. Despite an 8% unemployment a Financial Security Index poll found people felt the avalability of jobs was improving while the wages were growing more stagnant.
