In a closely watched race the Tea Party backed candidate Ted Cruz has beat out Lt. Governor David Dewhurst to campaign in the general election for Texas Senate. Cruz will now run in the against Democrat Paul Sadler for the Texas senate seat in November, Cruz is the heavy favorite to win.
