High Latino Voter Turnout Could Allow Obama to Carry Swing States
Latino Decisions - 11/05/2012
The swing states of Florida, Nevada, Virginia and Colorado are likely to go to Obama if Latino voter turnout is high. President Obama's overall favorability has remained high among Latinos despite occasional fluctuations. According to a poll by Latino Decisions, 64% stated that they are definitely voting for President Obama, while another 8% are "leaning toward" him as opposed to Governor Romney. 22% of those polled said they would or have already voted for Romney.
Governor Romney has had a hard time inspiring Latino voters to vote for him, largely because of his views on economic policies. Seventy-one percent of those polled said they trust President Obama on the economy rather than Governor Romney, who garnered 20% of that vote.
