Pete Hoekstra a former Michigan congressman has secured his spot to challenge Democrat Debbie Stabenow for a Senate in November. Hoekstra beat out two Republican challengers in last night's primary election. Hoekstra's competitors attacked his 18 years working in the House painting Hoekstra as a Washington insider.
