North Carolina has a ballot issue up for vote today that would ban all civil unions and same-sex marriage. While same-sex marriage is already illegal in North Carolina this vote would take the issue a step further. Many polls have been conducted that show most voters don't realize the extent to which this vote would ban gay marriage. North Carolina Governor, want voters to weigh amendment one as a matter of civil liberties and civil rights and the damage that would be done if the amendement were to pass.
