Pennsylvania Voter ID Law Stands
Philidelphia Inquirer - 08/15/2012
Judge Simpson from Pennsylvania has upheld the Republican pushed Voter-ID law. While numerous civil rights groups have asked for it's blockage on the grounds that he will take away voting rights for many Americans especially older Americans without ID or who are unable to obtain new ID. Simpson wrote a 70 page opinion stating that while the civil rights lawyers presented a good case he ultimately declared that he must "analyze the law and apply it". Civil rights groups including the ACLU plan to appeal.
