SpaceX rocket the first private spacecraft was successfully launched into space. The unmaned spacecraft launched early Tuesday morning from Cape Canaveral. Many see this as the next stage in public and private space programs. NASA also hopes that getting private companies in on low orbiting space craft will free up time for them to focus on longer missions including a mission to Mars.
