Romney Backtracks on Olympic Remarks
MSNBC - 07/26/2012
While meeting with Prime Minister David Cameron in London today Mitt Romney was forced to "clarify" some of his remarks concerning the upcoming 2012 Olympics. In an interview on NBC Romney seemed to think that London was ill prepared to host the Olympics. The British media picked up on the remarks and had a hay-day. Cameron made a quip back stating "the London games are being help in a major metropolitan area, not the middle of nowhere" this could be seen as a shot at the games Romney oversaw in Salt Lake City in 2002. While Romney offered praise for the games to reporters waiting outside of Cameron's home Romney's gaffe did not go unnoticed abroad.
