Romney has been quick to distance his presidential campaign from the Todd Akin's recent remarks concerning rape victims. Romney was quoted as saying that Akin's comments are "insulting, inexcusable, and frankly, wrong". Romney then urged Akin to correct his error and then stated that his campaign views are on the opposite spectrum from Akin and that abortion for rape or incest is a part of his platform.
