Mitt Romney's trip to Israel went over more smoothly than is gaffe riddled stop with British conservatives last week. Despite a much friendlier venue Romney still managed to ruffle some feathers with his remarks comparing Israel and Palestine's economic differences and the reasons behind them. Romney paralleled the GDP per capitas saying that Israel's success is due to their superior culture. Palestinians upon hearing this economic diagnosis immediately rebuked his remarks calling them "misinformed, and racist" and that Palestinian economy suffers due to Israeli occupation. Romney's trip to Israel is an attempt to win over American Jews that have voted primarily Democratic in the last several elections.
