Paul Ryan the latest member to step into the ferocious fight for the White House has been coming under pressure for his stimulus stance versus the amount of stimulus money he utilized. Ryan has now come out to say that his office in Wisconsin "mishandled" the stimulus requests that that is why he made the false statement of "he never requested stimulus money". Ryan who was stanchly against the stimulus package was later found to have sought out the use of these funds for several groups and businesses in his district. In a Boston Globe interview Ryan again defended his position against the stimulus stating he wouldn't use funds from something he voted against. It was found that Ryan wrote several letters throughout 2009 asking for stimulus funds of Wisconsin energy corporations. So while he continues to insist he was against the stimulus from the beginning his actions speak louder than words.
