As the Wisconsin governor proceeds to consider running for president, he appears to be following the playbook of Mitt Romney in 2008: Embrace positions that are less liberal than your record, in an attempt to attract the Republican base. His political staff and Walker have been answering to charges for weeks he has changed his positions on a range of issues. Some of Walker's potential adversaries are seizing on the problem, attempting to create the case they are more grounded in their own beliefs and fueling negative news coverage about Walker. Once nominees begin airing advertising on television and debating with one another the charges could become more pointed. Conservative protesters would show up at some Romney occasions dressed in giant flip-flops. Read more.
