Why Obama Leads in Midwest Swing States

Surprisingly enough, President Obama's lead in most of the presidential battleground states across the Midwest rests on a strong performance among blue-collar white women who usually tilt toward the GOP. The National Journal's analysis of recent polling results of 11 states finds Obama is running considerably better than he is nationally among white women without a college education.
