Wikipedia Reveals VP Pick?
NPR - 08/07/2012
With speculation growing as to whom Romney will select to be his Vice Presidential running mate there may be an easy way to deduce who that will ultimately become and it's not the latest Romney VP App. It's not even watching for twitter updates, or the conservative blogosphere, instead we should be monitoring changes to potentials Wikipedia pages. That's right Wikipedia the online encyclopedia could who the VP is but also when. The Washington Post reported that during the 2008 election Sarah Palin's wikipedia page was updated rapidly within hours of the announcement that she would be John McCain's running mate. The same situation came when Joe Biden's page underwent changes before his announcement. Wikipedia activity could alert us that they are getting their online information "polished" before making their very public debut. As for the speculated VP frontrunners, Portman's page was updated around 16 times, Rubio's 11, and Pawlenty's page saw 4 revisions today.
